Winona Foods is pleased to introduce Erica Maedke, formerly Erica Pagel, as our new Cheese Procurement Manager. Erica started with us on January 24^th and will be based out of our office in Green Bay, WI.

Erica is a self-proclaimed “dairy-dork”! She grew up on a dairy farm in Northeastern Wisconsin and graduated with a Master’s degree in dairy economics from Cornell University. Her previous work experience in the dairy industry includes working on agriculture politics in DC, buying milk for Kraft Foods, directing raw material purchases for Foremost Farms, and buying cheese for Land O’Lakes. She also worked at an Italian cheese plant as a production superintendent and is a licensed cheesemaker, pasteurizer operator, and SQF practitioner.

Erica is a ‘newlywed’ to her husband, Bill. Last year, they honey mooned in New Zealand--only two Wisconsin farm kids would call hiking on a glacier in summer a highlight of the trip! That’s loyalty to the Frozen Tundra--yes, they are true Packer fans. They also enjoy riding their Harley Ultra Classic motorcycle, going kayaking and hiking. She and Bill very excited to move back home to the Green Bay area!
